Rayo Cruz offers online Zapotec language courses aimed at adults wanting to learn Zapotec as a second language, involving 20 hours of interactive activities over Zoom with resources on YouTube. Despite challenges due to the lack of teaching materials for this indigenous language, 200 students have completed the basic course with further levels planned. The courses, designed for both heritage and non-heritage speakers, are supported by collaborative organizations, reflecting Rayo’s commitment to promoting and preserving Zapotec culture. Interested participants are invited to register and follow the initiative on social media.
